Description
This interactive museum session takes place in the Melikhov school built by Chekhov in 1899. The lesson involves immersion in the memorial atmosphere of Chekhov's time: the teacher's flat, large windows, a classroom with high ceilings, a corridor for games, desks of the Erisman system... Trying on the clothes of village children, the children will spend a day in a rural zemstvo school of the 19th century. They will perform tasks on some disciplines: God's Law, arithmetic, grammar, and have fun during recess. Slate boards and counters will be a challenge for modern children. The best pupils will receive certificates of merit.
