About the event

The little-known early story by A.P. Chekhov "The Lady" was staged and staged in the theater for the first time. The work written by the future famous playwright at the beginning of his career is very different from what you usually expect from a master of subtext and humor, a subtle psychologist who can both discern all the secret vices and diseases of his "patients" and forgive them their minor weaknesses. "Lady" is a complicated, tough story. The main character of the play becomes "vice", some give themselves to him without resistance, and someone gives up after a short hesitation. The remark: "Nothing is a sin for a poor man," sounds like the leitmotif of the whole performance.

The play is shown in the theater yard, and it seems that the walls themselves — a rough log cabin — become one of the characters of the play, creating the right atmosphere of peasant life, into which you plunge unquestioningly from the first minute.
