The catalog contains materials presented at the exhibition "Tolstoy and Chekhov – Chekhov and Tolstoy".  The exhibition, which coincided with the 150th birthday anniversary of Anton Chekhov and the 100th death date of Leo Tolstoy, was a special event devoted to the lives and works of these two famous Russian writers. At the exhibition, the theme of "Tolstoy and Chekhov – Chekhov and Tolstoy" was revealed through the world of material objects that surrounded these two writers: personal belongings and family heirlooms, photographs and documents, portraits, manuscripts and other memorial items.
