The first issue of the almanac "Melikhovo". This publication contains popular scientific articles and archival materials that are united by the themes of Chekhov's life and the  local history. This collection includes articles about the social activities of Anton Chekhov, his play "The Seagull", about the life of the Chekhov family in the estate, about places associated with the writer's name. A separate section of the almanac is dedicated to the estate of the Vasilchikovs – Lanskys – Goncharovs. The section "Chronicle of Melikhov's life" covers the life of the Melikhovo museum in the period from 1995 to 1997.
