Based on the materials of the exposition and funds of the State Literary and Memorial Museum-Reserve of A.P. Chekhov in Melikhov, the author of the book, the director of this museum, tells about the writer's life in the estate near Moscow in 1892 - 1899, about the people he met there, about the good memory of A.P. Chekhov, which is still kept by the local residents.
