Dear friends!

For your information: Repair and restoration work is still underway at the Anton Chekhov Museum-Reserve "Melikhovo" and on the estate's grounds.

They are intended not only to prolong the life of wooden buildings, some of which have never been restored before, but also to ensure that all objects and exhibits displayed inside them would be accessible to visitors throughout the year.

Here, we would like to remind you that this summer of 2025, several objects of the museum have been opened to the public again. These buildings include: the Main House of the Anton Chekhov Estate, the "Seagull" (Chaika) wing and wing the "Fire Station Shed".

As for the "Russian Bathhouse", the "Melikhovo School", and the exhibition space "Chekhov's Drawings", you can explore their exhibitions in the usual manner.

In addition to that, our guests can also visit the literary exhibition "The Writer's Kitchen", which explores the inner workings of the writer, and the interactive Melikhovo Weather Station platform.

Besides this, we would like to inform you that the "Marriage Fever" exhibition has been extended, and the Wing Kitchen has been reopened.

The only facility that is currently undergoing restoration is the Ambulance Station (Outpatient Clinic). 

As usual, you are welcome to freely explore the grounds and visit the museum's facilities on your own or with a guided tour, either as part of a random group or individually. Moreover, you can participate in interactive and educational programs, master classes, concerts, and many other events.

The "Chekhov Studio" theater in Melikhovo is inviting you to weekly performances and theatrical Saturdays.

The Museum of letters by Anton Chekhov has been closed for renovation since October 14, 2024.
