The exhibition is based on drawings with captions and texts from humorous magazines of the late 19th century - "Oskolki", "Strekoza", "Alarm clock"; advertisements and notes from the first marriage newspapers that appeared in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century. From them one can learn how the relationships of lovers changed after the wedding, what the family life of Chekhov's contemporaries was filled with.The exhibition will be opened on 2 July as part of the museum and theatre programme "Marriage: pro et contra". The exhibition will also be open for independent visits.
