On the eve of the Pushkin holiday, according to tradition, an exhibition of children's art "A.S. Pushkin through the eyes of children" was opened at the Manor House "Lopasnya-Zachatievskoye". The exhibition presents the works of the now regional competition, which has been held in the museum for more than 10 years.
This year is the 190th anniversary of the first full edition of the poem "Eugene Onegin", so the participants were invited to address the poem along with the traditional themes: portraits of fairy-tale heroes and the subjects of Pushkin's fairy tales. Since the competition is held in the museum, which has a second, unofficial name "Pushkin's Nest", the organisers invited the participants to reflect in their works the life of the poet's descendants, who often and for a long time lived in Lopasna, the history of the house and the estate park.
166 works of fine arts and crafts were submitted to the contest. Children from the cities of Chekhov, Podolsk, Serpukhov participated. The age of the participants was from 6 to 18 years old - they were pupils of institutions of additional education, Sunday schools, boarding schools, general educational institutions. Winners and prize-winners of the competition together with certificates received prizes from the museum.
Before the awarding, Ilaria Osikina, a young resident of our town, performed, she read the introduction to the poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila" - "By the Lukomorye Oak is Green". This was a very pleasant surprise for all the guests.
