"Communication institutions: past, present, future"

On 4 May, on the eve of the professional holiday Radio Day, the Central Museum of Communications named after A.S.Popov with the support of FSUE "Space Communications" held a conference - Scientific Readings dedicated to the memory of the inventor of radio, Professor Alexander Popov, which has become a good tradition of the museum. This is already the thirteenth event, which annually gathers specialists studying the history of the development of technical thought in the field of communications. This year's theme is "Communications Institutions: Past, Present, Future".

This year's researchers are looking at institutions providing communication services, public institutions and private organisations developing technical innovations, and institutions training industry specialists, both civilian and military.

The conference was attended by the staff of the Museum of A.P. Chekhov's letters, Eugenia Bovshik told about the opening of post offices in Serpukhov and Podolsk uyezds in the late XlX century.
