The New Year’s program «Christmas trees at the Chekhovs, or a journey for the magic grain» has started in Melikhovo
New Year in the village is an opportunity to feel like a hero of a New Year's fairy tale, young guests of the Melikhovskaya manor went on an interesting journey-quest in search of the magical chicken Chernushka.
The exciting adventure began at the main Christmas tree, where the children made friends with village girls Anyuta, Dunya and Varya, met Father Frost and Snegurochka, were given the task to get acquainted with village traditions and to find the magic hen.
New Year's "search parties" visited the stables, where they had a breezy ride on a horse, warmed themselves with hot tea, answered the clever riddles of the coachman and learnt the objects of peasant life. Maryushka, the poultry lady, taught how to make decorations for the Christmas tree in the form of chickens and hens, the crafts turned out bright and original. Together with Snegurochka the children played village games, where they showed their speed and agility.
The main gift was made by the Melikhovsky theatre "Chekhov Studio" - a new magical performance "The Black Hen, or Underground Dwellers" based on the work of Antoni Pogorelsky. On the stage played a story about kindness, mutual help and gratitude. After all, even in the everyday world you can meet with miracles, you just have to believe in them!
The New Year's programme will run until the end of December and then continue from 4 to 7 January 2023.
