Two “Queens of Spades” - a story by A. Pushkin and an opera by P. Tchaikosky. One plot outline, one hero, but both his character and his fate in the opera are very different from the literary source. How will Herman appear on the stage of the Serpukhov Musical and Drama Theater?

The theater's artistic director, stage director Pavel Tsepenyuk reveals the idea: he was interested in creating a kind of fusion of text and music. The experience of just such a connection as we will see on the Serpukhov stage is unique and unknown in theatrical practice.
