About the event
One of the author’s contemporaries called Pushkin’s cycle “The Tales of the Late Ivan Petrovich Belkin” sentimental anecdotes told in the language of a graphomaniac. (The graphomaniac, of course, is not Pushkin, but Belkin - the author’s literary mask). The genre of the play is conventionally designated as “Church-parish tragicomedy in the rhythm of a waltz.” Music really plays a big role throughout the play, being another part of the action. The waltz here, on the one hand, connects us with the realities of the 19th century, immerses us in the historical context, and on the other, is a symbol of endless movement, the impossibility of breaking out of the circle outlined by fate.
The motif of fate and fate is also emphasized by the introduction, in addition to dolls, of living characters - “blizzard spirits”, higher beings who either observe from the outside the events in the lives of the main characters or act as storytellers. And only the viewer, having the complete picture, is able to appreciate the beauty of the whimsical weaving of the most beautiful pattern on Earth - human life.
There are three actresses on stage in a live shot. Three Snowstorms of Fate, leading the heroes of the story (so doll-like small and fragile!) through bad weather and ambiguities - passions, accidents, frivolous steps...
What will this performance be about? What will he “whisper, tell” the youth of today in the words of a story composed almost 200 years ago? Perhaps that your Fate loves you and will certainly lead you where you need to go? Let's see? Shall we think about it?
