About the event

In the play “Have I Changed Much? The Seagull" the whole play is concentrated in two characters, all the heroes, all the destinies are just Nina and Kostya. They meet over and over again on the ruins of a common past in an attempt to reassemble it, swap scattered episodes from their lives, seeking reconciliation and forgiveness. But everything is in vain, the gun still fires in the finale - and, therefore, again “all lives, all lives, having completed a sad circle, will fade away...”

Chekhov's “The Seagull” has been reflected in the fates of dozens (hundreds?) of artists for the past hundred years, and each has its own reflection: it either freezes in a serene mirror-like surface, then flickers among a stormy stream, and for some in puddles on the floor flooded apartment...

The relationship between Nina Zarechnaya and Kostya Treplev is intertwined with the real story of the life and tragedy of the Soviet cinema actress Valentina Karavaeva. It was her fate that served as the starting point for the emergence of this performance. What remains for an artist when he is deprived of his main instrument - his face? Or not faces - anything: in the physical, spiritual, material and other planes of human life. Will he be able to remain an artist, but most importantly, will the art world need him with his “injury”?
