Students of the “Institute of Culture and Arts” of Moscow State Pedagogical University, artistic director O.N. Malakhov, actor and director of the School of Dramatic Art theater, are ready to present the play “The Rolling Star”. This work consists of texts by iconic authors of the 20th century: A.V. Vampilova, A.N. Arbuzova, M.M. Roshchin, L.G. Zorin, L.S. Petrushevskaya, E.L. Shvarts, A.N. Sokolova, A.M. Volodin and others.
The composition is based on the most famous plays of the Soviet period, which in our time can rightfully be called classics of Russian drama. The literature of this time outlines an incredibly wide range of pressing social problems and looks into the very depths of human nature. She poses questions of choice, personal freedom, the formation of ideals, the value of being, and considers the relationship between men and women, fathers and children.
The heroes of our show find themselves in critical situations, the most difficult circumstances; they need to decide on solutions to vital problems, follow the chosen path, affirm the truth or renounce it. Each character in the play, having gone through the trials of feelings, in his own way discovers love, a sense of dignity, freedom and beauty, or, conversely, betrays these ideals.
