About the event
This is not an “encyclopedia of Russian life”, where modern secular society, with its coldness, cynicism and vulgarity, tries to dominate the pure Soul. This is the main character's memory diary.
Here came together the play of intellect, rage, condemnation, ridicule, skepticism, and the great Russian Soul, which cannot be understood with the mind.
The diagnosis of “Russian Blues” is cured by pure love and overcome by sincere forgiveness and faith.
The performance is dedicated to the anniversary year of A.S. Pushkin and released as a creative project of actor and theater director Evgeny Azmanov.
A novel in verse by the Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, begun on May 9, 1823 and completed on October 5, 1831, one of the most significant works of Russian literature. The narration is told on behalf of the nameless author, who, however, in the very first stanzas calls Onegin “my good friend.” According to the well-known definition of V. G. Belinsky, Pushkin called “Eugene Onegin” a novel in verse, since it depicts “life in all its prosaic reality.”
