About the event

“Count Nulin” is a short comic poem written by Pushkin in just two mornings on December 13 and 14, 1825, during his exile in Mikhailovskoye. “There are strange connections…” the poet dropped...

It is believed that this work is Pushkin's first realistic poem. In “Count Nulin”, Russian nature, life and everyday life of the most ordinary, unremarkable people are shown in vivid, accurate and at the same time poetic pictures.

In the intimate space for the audience, the characters of the comic poem will appear in reality, coming to life from the text... But the authors of the play deliberately refuse the technique of recreating the details of everyday life and nature. The characters and the whole world around them are the space of the pages of the book.

We invite viewers to “read” the book with us, rather than see its illustration. Through Pushkin's text and the self-irony of the performers, the audience is given the opportunity to create their own visualization of history.

"Count Nulin", created as a parody joke, gave a new attitude to the ups and downs of love, which can be ironized in a kind way. And, again and again, enjoy the unique Universe of the genius of Pushkin.
