About the event

The one-man show based on Pushkin’s fairy tale of the same name tells the story of a village priest who is looking for a worker. Luckily, Balda comes across the market to meet him, ready to work for boiled spelt, and for three clicks on the priest’s forehead. It’s no wonder, that’s why he agrees for now. But as soon as the time of reckoning comes, the priest decides to kill Balda. What tricks will the priest dare to use and how will the desperate Balda cope with them?

The main role in the play is played by Vladislav Romanov, a graduate of the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School, winner of the St. Petersburg Children's Award for best actor.

The performance was staged by Ciacci Frosnockers, artistic director of the Maly Puppet Theater, director of more than 40 performances throughout Russia. Playwright, author of dramatizations and his own plays, acting teacher for children, organizer of charity performances and master classes.
