In 2010, the play "Duel" based on the famous Chekhov story marked the beginning of the plein-air spectacles of the Chekhov Studio Theater of the Chekhov Museum-Reserve "Melikhovo". But now the play has moved under the roof of the "Theater Yard" - a huge log hut - the permanent home of the theater. In this hut, which turns into a Caucasian town for 3 hours, the drama of the "shaky" life of the unfortunate and restless protagonist of the story Ivan Andreevich Laevsky unfolds, a tragedy is brewing in his soul. Here, against the background of a carefree picnic, songs and clinking glasses, there is a clash of moral antipodes – Laevsky and von Koren, which will end with a challenge to a duel. Shots are being fired here, and a turning point is taking place in the souls of the opponents. However, come and see for yourself!
