Theater studio "Melikhovo" began its work in February 2020.

It all started with a series of acting master classes held in schools neighboring the A.P. Museum-Reserve. Chekhov "Melikhovo" villages - Vaskino, Kryukovo, Nerastnoye. The students were told about the Theater Studio, how it would be structured, what material was planned to be offered for the production, how classes and rehearsals for performances would be held. This is how the first students of the Studio appeared.

Today, classes in the studio are held in four age groups: 7-9 years old, 10-12 years old, 13-16 years old and a group of amateur actors 17+.

Classes at the Melikhovo theater studio contribute to the comprehensive development, manifestation of a sense of beauty and harmonious growth of student. In addition, playful activities are also a way to have fun with friends. There is never a dull moment in these classes; students are constantly moving and communicating. An interactive way of presenting information and a well-structured training program help to perceive as much information as possible without overloading the participant.

Do not forget that theater is a collective activity that teaches students to cooperate and interact with each other. In theatrical play, memory, imagination, fantasy, and speech develop. By playing on stage, a participant’s self-esteem increases, tension disappears, and self-confidence develops.
