About the event

There is a brilliant trio of old women on stage – Maria Chekhov, Olga Knipper-Chekhov, Lidia Avilova. The author's fantasy brings three Chekhov women together in a hospital room. Here in the "purgatory of the spirit" a painful summing up of life awaits them. The main man in the lives of all three is Chekhov, and each is absolutely convinced that she has the right to be called the main woman of Chekhov. The text of the play is entirely based on real sources – letters, documents, memoirs and memoirs.
Is reconciliation possible and will there be peace in their souls on the threshold of leaving for another world?..
The play was created in 2020 as part of the All-Russian Theater Laboratory for Young Playwrights "Chekhov: Non-fiction" and became the winner in the nomination "Museum Choice".
