About the event

"The Seagull" is one of the most well-known plays in the world of theater. It is also one of the most enigmatic and revolutionary plays. The play came up exactly 120 years ago, in Melikhovo, the estate of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. It was written in a small wing house that has survived unchanged to this day. The play, which was staged for the first time on the homeland of The Seagull in Melikhovo, will start at this venue. We invite our theater-lovers to travel through space and time. During the performance, the audience will travel to the "magic lake", in outer space, on an abandoned croquet field, the carriage yard, and finally you will end up at the exhibition. There, theatrical sets, costumes, and props from a nostalgic manor will be displayed as exhibits in a modern, interactive museum exhibition.
