Description
Historically, in Russia, the Christmas holiday, so important for the whole Christian world, has been overshadowed, and many Christmas and Christmas Eve rituals have been forgotten or transferred to the New Year. But it was after Christmas that Christmas Eve began - the most joyful time of the year. Girls and boys were fortune-telling, tried on the images of gypsies, bears, hares, goats and went door to door singing and caroling. The guests of the programme will learn about these and other Christmas entertainments and will be able to take part in them. They will also remember the tradition of gathering around the table and drinking tea and cakes.
